Since the inception of percentage betting the value of the payouts on trifectas has reduced dramatically with many more punters now sharing in the winning pools. In last saturdays results for our website the average payout on 13 winning trifectas wa s$164 and on 4 winning first fours it was $308. Exactly 24 months ago the average was $480 and $963 for winning first fours. In one sense it is great that more punters playing the novelties are now winners but the return these days is much less. Perhaps the best way to secure the most value from your punting dollar is to attack the winning multi bet combo's where a small pool can produce excellent value if you can find 3 winners in an all up bet. Today we can choose our selections from all race cards and even combine them with sports betting selections although the way the AFL games are resulting it can be dangerous combining both sports. Personally we have more luck with taking multi's 3 horses to win 3 races but save on any 2 of the winners to arrive. Do not exceed 3 winners per bet as the odds are against you. Alternatively for a smaller result but more consistent wins try taking 3 or 4 horses for an all up place when you think those horses can win. At Flemington last Saturday 8 out of 9 of our top raters all ran a place while only 1 was a winner. The average place dividend was $2.20 which would result in a very nice return on the day of 23/1 if you found 4 placegetters. At Rosehill it was 4 from 8, at Morphetville it was 6 from 9, at Belmont it was 4 from 8 and at Doomben it was 3 from 8. That adds up to 60% winners with a place dividend. 29 Jun 2015

Juat an average day unfortunately. Missvonn our special was left without any hope on a pretty average ride sitting 3 wide the entire 2000 metres whilst Aerobar had every chance.

Had to work hard for our 10 winners and the theme of the day was outlined after MR4 when Rock and Gold went past Prince Rahy and the jockey dropped the whip and Prince Rahy fought back to take the prize. Just another way to lose your money. No joy from our specials

Brilliant result with top raters providin some excellent value. Our specials , My Fair Lady ran a solid race for second and Pirates Fortune had every chance but was disapointing. Looking forward to keeping the good form going for Stradbroke Day on Saturday.
